I wish I could hide old transactions so that only transactions for the current year appear in the register.
I would also like to be able to save transactions for a closed period on a CD. I like to keep a CD of the transactions in my file box which contains all the paper documents for a given year.
I wish I could keep separate files for each year.
This is a good idea. Especially now that the IRS is asking for people’s QuickBooks files, it would be nice to segregate years into different files. Or at least make the older transactions so that they can’t be seen in the registers.
